COVID Information

Acting Out Drama School put the safety of our students, clients, actors, directors and coaches at the forefront of all our planning.

Therefore, we have strict risk assessments in place that identify clear measures to control the risks in our Performing Arts Learning Environment while still being able to promote a positive, engaging and happy learning experience.

Our risk assessments support our Staff, Students and Venues, so we know we have done everything necessary to promote safe learning and teaching during the pandemic.

We will continually review as circumstances and present advice is updated but overall, if you have enrolled onto a face-to-face course with us please expect the following:

To protect against COVID and keep you all as safe, please read the following. Please also note, these may change depending on the current situation and if they do, we’ll let you know.

  1. Please arrive only a few mins before your class time, as you’ll have to wait outside the venue until your coach collects you.

  2. Please adhere to the entrance and exit plan the venue and Acting Out have established (your coach will keep you right).

  3. Please Sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the building.

  4. Keep to a one way system of entering and exiting the building.

  5. Coaches may limit the number of students working together on improvised or text-based work, please be flexible with us.

  6. Students working together should remain apart where practically and reasonably possible.

  7. Physical distancing should be adhered to wherever practical and possible.

  8. Face Coverings are optional.

  9. Please hand wash/sanitise regularly.

  10. Our venues require Track and Trace in the event of any outbreaks. Therefore, should this happen and the NHS Track and Track Service require your information (such as your name, email or phone number) Acting Out will provide this information.

  11. If you are ill (even if your symptoms don’t appear to be covid related), please do not attend class or rehearsals. Just email your coach, so they can provide you with a means to catch up.

  12. If you contract COVID please contact the NHS who can advise you on what to do. Track and Trace will inform our venue and team directly if appropriate.

  13. We aim to run all our face to face classes in our venues but if our venues close due to government restrictions, lockdowns or circumstances out-with our control, we’ll go online and return to venues when it’s safe to do so.

  14. Online sessions will be recorded, so if you can’t show up on the day, you won’t miss any content.

Rest assured, your health, safety and wellbeing is our top priority so we will follow the current guidelines on the appropriate dates of the course and comply with our school and venue risk assessment measures.

Thanks for all your support regarding this.
