INTERMEDIATE ACTING
This particular term promises a dynamic exploration of diverse acting techniques designed to elevate your skills and broaden your artistic talents under the expert guidance of award-winning LA Star, Paul Bianchi, who spent the past fifteen years in Hollywood honing his craft.
You’ll not only delve into the realm of improvisation with the influential teachings of Del Close, for unlocking the spontaneity and creativity within but you’ll also explore Stella Adler's movement techniques which will guide you in understanding the physicality of characters, tapping into the expressive power of the body to enhance your performances.
On top of this, you’ll get serious with your acting by immersing yourself in the world of imagination and characterisation, honing the craft of bringing characters to life with depth and authenticity.
But that's not all – brace yourself for an exhilarating introduction to stage combat, where you'll learn the art of controlled intensity, creating believable and safe fight scenes. This physical skill will add a thrilling dimension to your repertoire and showcase your versatility as an actor.
The crescendo of your journey will, of course, be the end-of-term showcase, where you will be cast in roles tailored to your newfound skills. Under the guidance of our directors, you'll have the opportunity to apply everything you've learned, bringing characters to life with conviction and flair in a collection of scenes and monologues.

Times: 6pm - 7:30pm (this is likely to go on until 7:45pm as we get a fuller class)

ADVANCED ACTING
So... we've recently covered Shakespeare and contemporary new writing, and now it's back to classics but this time, with strong female leads and explorations of relationships, love and not to mention, delving deeply into Stanislaski training (something every actor needs)!
This term promises a rich exploration of acting techniques, including the profound teachings of Stanislavski with a focus on the transformative power of objective work. As we embark on this creative adventure, we will also draw inspiration from the vibrant world of Commedia dell'arte, infusing movement with comedic flair to enhance your physical expressiveness. This is the perfect combo of acting training where deep analytical work meets physical expression!
The highlight of this term and the culmination of your efforts – a captivating production of Bernard Shaw's masterpiece, "Candida." This timeless play unfolds the intricate dynamics of love, jealousy, and self-discovery within the confines of marriage. You will be cast and directed by Award-winning Writer, Screenwriter, Filmmaker, Performer, and Hollywood Star, Paul Bianchi.
This production gives an exciting opportunity for you to delve deep into the emotional intricacies of your character, to connect with the essence of Shaw's timeless narrative, and to showcase the culmination of your advanced acting skills. There are of course, strong male leads too!
